Want to save money on insurance but hesitant to provide too much personal information? That’s understandable, but with Gabi, you don’t have to worry about your personal data because we make security a top priority.

“Our website has built-in features to keep data secure, and we have specific processes for storing and encrypting all customer information,” says Will Andree, Operations Associate at Gabi. “We never sell or share data with third parties, and we also explain why we need each piece of personal information and how it is stored securely.”

Here are the types of information Gabi needs to help you save money on insurance policies, and how we use that information.

Phone number. Your phone number is just used to access the Gabi app; you will not receive unwanted phone calls or texts. “We never call customers unless they have asked us to call them,” Andree says.

Full name. We need your full name to manage your profile.

Email address. We use your email address to communicate with you and to let you know when we are able to save you money on your insurance, and how to get the savings.

Mailing address. Gabi needs your address to be able to get reliable insurance quotes. In many cases, the types of insurance available to you will depend on where you live.

Current insurance policies. We need information about your current insurance policy to see if we can connect you with the same coverage for a better rate. If you have an online account with your insurance company, you can provide us with your username and password so we can connect Gabi to that account and import your insurance documents. Your password is stored via encryption on our database, not in the cloud.

If you don’t have an online account with your insurance company or don’t want to provide it to Gabi, you can simply send us a PDF of your policy.

Payment information. When Gabi locates a less expensive insurance policy for you and you decide to make the switch, you will need to supply payment information. However, payment information does not go to Gabi; it goes directly to the insurance company, so we do not store any of your financial information.
