Head of Global Operations Management


  • Conduct market and location research to evaluate potential expansion of markets in the U.S.

  • Analyze data gathered from Gabi's surveys and studies (including but not limited to customer and employee 
satisfaction), document findings, and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, 
procedures, strategies, or operational changes.

  • Research and prepare written reports regarding relevant global technology and consumer trends, and their 
implications from an innovation perspective for the company and its marketing, business, and investment 

  • Evaluate U.S. and international office locations for customer management, focusing on the viability of 
recruiting, coaching, managing, and retaining staff for call centers and teams for data entry management.

  • Research and analyze the financial, regulatory, foreign exchange, labor market, and political viability of new 
office locations for U.S. and European operations.

  • Research the insurance market environment and evaluate the business models for various existing and 
prospective property and casualty insurance products that Gabi is appointed to sell and service in various 
states within the U.S.

  • Identify distribution arrangements with partners from various industries nationally and internationally, 
including, but are not limited to, financial advisory firms, financial and retirement planners, banks or private 
wealth management institutions, as well as online personal finance, budgeting, and investing applications.

  • Formulate agreements with property & casualty insurance companies in the U.S. to be appointed as a 

  • Evaluate and determine revenue generating commission payment schedules with insurance carriers in the U.S.

  • Define overall business and expansion strategy in cooperation with CEO, President, and CPO.

  • Manage business operations, including insurer, insurance wholesaler, and technology vendor management.

  • Manage a team of 20 to 50 across functions such as customer support, operations support, licensed insurance 
sales and licensed insurance service representatives across two countries (U.S. and Poland).

  • Recruit and hire operations team and insurance professionals in U.S. and Europe.

  • Implement training programs across U.S. and European locations, with a focus on disseminating knowledge of 
U.S. insurance service, operations, and sales.

  • Interview personnel, observe and evaluate their performance.

  • Forge a common performance driven company culture across all international locations. Ensure a compliant and efficient customer relationship management.

  • Produce company policy manuals and operations handbooks for growing team of operations staff.


  • Masters in International Economics, Business Administration, Economics, or related

We are looking for Senior Application Engineers to help us build an awesome new product/service for consumer insurance market in the US.

We build our app using a flexible stack of frontend and backend technologies including Rails, Node.JS, React, MySQL, Redis and Linux. Expertise in these areas is a huge plus, but working experience with other proven web technologies (such as Python or PHP) and other relational/NoSQL databases is a fine alternative.

We embrace lean startup, continuous integration and agile development concepts.

The following positions are based in Lodz, Poland, with a healthy dose of remote work.

Senior Node.js Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience building backend network applications using Node.js,

  • thorough understanding of the web’s protocols and standards (HTTP, REST, HTML5, etc.),

  • hands-on experience with data extraction and aggregation from different sources,

  • advanced practical knowledge of modern server-side JavaScript and its tools & libraries,

  • experience with TypeScript, Docker and AWS will be a plus.

Web Application Engineer – Full Stack

  • 5+ years of experience building full-stack web apps professionally, 2+ in RoR (for which you can provide references),

  • experience with functional or imperative languages such as Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java or Go - with and without web frameworks.

Senior Frontend Application Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience building web app frontends professionally (using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and modern frontend concepts and frameworks – at least one of Backbone, Angular, React), for which you can provide references,

  • ability to produce pixel-perfect and fully responsive web frontends,

  • experience with other functional or imperative languages such as Ruby, Python, Java or Go - with and without web frameworks.

Kinds of things you would do during a typical week if you were to join Gabi

  • build a new backend/frontend feature, unit test it, deploy to staging and release to production,

  • collaborate with other team members to design, review or comment on a technical proposal,

  • propose a new architectural concept and solve a particular technical or functional challenge,

  • fix a bug and deliver a hotfix update to production,

  • whiteboard a new control flow and design required components and technical features,

  • design an API call supporting a new integration requirement,

  • provide support to operations staff in troubleshooting production issues,

  • contribute to our ever-growing internal tools used to manage the customer workflow.
